Gurdjieff, Maître spirituel

Georges Ivanovitch Gurdjieff (1866-1949) was, in the socio-historic context of the Judeo-Christianity and Islamic civilization, the renovator of the esoteric content of this tradition, the essential of his written work and way of living has presented the distinction of the three typical shapes of increased conscience in which three particular shapes of psychological death condition are conditioning three particular shapes of resurrection. It is by this distinction of the three shapes of increased conscience that the contribution of Gurdjieff, preceding in it the analogous results of Carlos Castañeda, appears to us as the equivalent, in the western Christianity of the Toltec tradition of Mexico. And it is presumably this distinction of the three typical shapes of the increased conscience that the pupils of the Gurdjievian tradition should be using if they want, like their precursors in the same esoteric tradition, since several millennia, to reach this historic salute that can only be shared by all.
